Andrew Peter Bellos 36, returned to his heavenly home on February 25, 2025. He was born November 2, 1988 in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
Andrew loved doing many different things throughout his life that ultimately shaped him into the person he became. Andrews love for cooking started at two years old by helping his mom bake a variety of cookies and cakes which expanded to creating his own tasteful recipes two years later. From there his skills and repertoire increased to include puffed pastries to grilling on the BBQ. He was an excellent cook.
At four years old Andrew loved Legos and learned that if you followed the pictures you can create anything, even complicated Lego sets were put together with amazing accuracy for his age. Learning to swim at a young age, Andrew swam in surrounding lakes of beautiful BC, Canada. Later he began snorkeling and exploring lake bottoms which lead to becoming a certified scuba diver. Around five years old Andrew was taught by his father to ski. Initially his interest wasn’t in skiing but how all the lifts and machinery worked, asking many questions. He did finally learn to ski and to snowboard and enjoyed the experience. In kindergarten there was a small electrical appliance take a part center which he discovered. His love for this grew to a first named basis with the small appliance repair guy in town where Andrew was given small appliances to work on at home. Later even laptop computers and televisions were repaired. Andrew truly had an engineering mind at a young age.
Andrews love for the outdoors grew from when he was very young. He loved being outside camping, fishing, motorcycling, going paintball in the back forty with his older brother and friends, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, treasure hunting, and shooting. At around 15 years old Andrew was blessed with the opportunity to learn to fly an ultra light plane. We lived on a farm in Armstrong, BC and he took off and landed several runs in our field. After a while he flew out of the small local airport until he successfully completed the training with only one small mishap occurring. He ultimately received his ultra lights pilots’ license. Andrew was quiet but always thoughtful. He was honest and very hard working, and extremely capable to figure out complicated projects/situations with a clear mind. He loved animals and they loved him back. He was a sweet and valiant soul. Our hearts are broken from his passing, he truly will be missed.
Andrew graduated from Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah in 2007. His journeys after took him to Salem, Oregon and then to Klamath Falls, Oregon before moving back to Utah in 2019 to finish his schooling at Utah State University. He graduated in Electrical Engineering in May 2023.
Andrew is survived by his parents Leila and Peter Bellos, Hyde Park Utah; brothers Damien (Natasha) and C Bellos; Nephews Ryker, Kirk, Scott, and McCoy. He is preceded in death by his nana, Patricia Bellos and granddad, Anthony Bellos; grandma, Terttu Martinez and Grandpa, John Robertson (Deborah).
