Andy K “Captain Aggie” PedersenAndy, 66, of Smithfield, UT, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 13, 2017 in his home. He was born on April 4, 1951 to Adolph (Andy) Berg Pedersen and Sarah Jane Robinson. He was a graduate of American Fork High School class of 1969 where he enjoyed being a member of the FFA. He attended Utah State University to study nutrition and food science. He played the trumpet and tuba while he was part of the marching band in high school and college. He had many small businesses in his life. He traveled around the western United States being a vendor at toy train shows. A few of his passions included Disneyland, model train layouts, writing poetry, and USU athletics. Family vacations centered around Disneyland fun. It gave him great pride to show off his train layout. Writing poetry was a passion that he enjoyed sharing with others. He also enjoyed playing his harmonica. In his later years he loved attending all USU athletics. He could be found at as many softball, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and football games that he could get too. He didn’t die from Parkinson’s disease he lived through it!He is survived by his sister Donna West (Stan); wife Judy Ann Coleman; son Jeremy K Pedersen (Crystal), son Neil A Pedersen (Michelle); son Michael Denton Pedersen (Tammy); daughter Amber Sarah Mikkelsen (James); and nine grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on July 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS church, 345 E 300 S, Smithfield, Utah. The viewing will be on July 20, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on July 21, 2017 from 9:30-10:30am. Graveside services will be held after the funeral at the Smithfield Cemetery.
