Anna Lea Arquette, a walking angel on earth, has been called to Heaven too soon. Our loving mother, grandmother, and wife will be missed. She was the color in the rainbow, the warmth of the sun, the moonlight on our darkest path, and the cozy blanket we wrapped around our bodies. Her open heart, Amazing Grace.
Anna passed away at her home that she shared with her husband, Tom Arquette, on Friday evening, August 24, 2018, at age 75. Anna was born June 2, 1943, to Aleatha Northover and Hans Carlsen in Toppenish, Washington, on the Yakama Indian Reservation.
Anna was a blessing to all that met and loved her, she filled each day with her gracious spirit. Anna felt emotions deeply and was the most happy when spending time with family, playing alongside her youngest grandchildren, ferociously reading any books on spirituality and religion, vacationing to Bear Lake, Mount Rushmore and beyond with her daughter Allison and her family. Anna loved watching the sunsets at her favorite Carmel Beach in California with daughter Kristina and her two granddaughters there. She loved taking evening drives to Hardware Ranch to watch the elk and through Logan Canyon with her loving husband Tom Arquette. Anna joyfully served her LDS church and was active in the community.
Her love of family was so immense, it filled her heart so full that she would often be overwhelmed with tears of joy. She awoke each new day grateful to be a child of God and to share His word that she knew to be true through her deep and unfaltering faith. Anna spoke of her Native American heritage and was a proud member of the Yakama Indian Nation, alongside her devotion to God.
Anna attended high school in Seattle, Washington, and moved to Hyrum, Utah, in 1983. Anna and Tom married June 26, 1981, and were sealed in the Logan Temple January 7, 1984, they had a baby girl and named her Allison Arquette.
Anna lives on in her husband Tom Arquette (Hyrum, Ut.), daughter Allison Mason and her husband Paul Mason (Hyde Park, Ut.), daughter Kristina Miller and her partner David Gleason (Carmel, Ca.), her oldest son Vince Miller and his wife Marie Miller (Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.), and son Jason Arquette (Dundee, Or.).
Anna has four children: Vince Miller, Kristina Miller, Wesley Miller, and Allison Mason. She now has nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She preceded in death by her son Wesley Miller, mother Aleatha and father Hans.
Anna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Lions Club of Smithfield (traveling with husband Tom to Chicago and Puerto Rico for Lions Club events) and enjoyed participating in Tai Chi and Line Dancing weekly, at the Logan Senior Center.
