Beth Campbell Muir, 83, of Logan, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. She was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren.Beth was born in Logan on Jan 19, 1931, to Alma Raleigh & Lula Viola Griffin Campbell. She was the youngest of four children. She attended Logan schools, including Utah State University where she was a member of the Aggiettes. She married Stephen Clyde Muir on May 24, 1957, and they were later sealed for time and all eternity. They made their home in Mendon, Utah, where they raised one son and three daughters.Beth was a very gifted pianist and organist and could often be found there, filling her home with beautiful music. She shared her talents freely over the years in the community, her numerous church callings and her work at Sunshine Terrace. She and Clyde served an LDS mission in the special needs seminary and institute program and later in the Logan temple. Several years ago, they reluctantly left Mendon and built a home in the Spring Street retirement neighborhood in Logan. They have loved living there and have made many wonderful friends. Beth's greatest joy in life and favorite thing to talk about was her family. She was so proud of each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Beth is survived by her husband, Clyde, her son Darren (Andrea) Muir of Salt Lake, her daughters, Stephanie Muir of Logan, and Monika (Vern) Callahan of Nibley, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her brother Raleigh Clark (Joyce) Campbell of Logan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Lou Newby, her brother Don Campbell, her daughter Julie Muir and her grandson Zackary Callahan. We know they all rushed to greet her with open arms.Funeral services are under the direction of Cache Valley Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Mendon LDS church at 20 N. 100 West. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, also at the church. Our family would like to thank the police officers, EMS/paramedics and off-duty nurse Stacie, who helped our parents at the accident scene. Stacie, we're sorry we didn't get your last name and in the confusion also lost your phone number. Please know how much your help meant to us. We'd also like to thank the ER and ICU staff at the Logan Regional Hospital and the wonderful doctors and nurses at the U of U Surgical ICU for the skilled, gentle, loving, dignified care they gave our mom. We will be forever grateful.
