Betty Rosslyn Hurst Parker

Rosslyn - 86 - passed away September 8, 2015 in Logan, Utah. Rosslyn was born January 8, 1929 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Waldo Ross Hurst and Nora Tippetts Hurst, the last of six children. She wed her sweetheart, William Duane Parker on June 24, 1947 for eternity in the Logan Temple. They have five children. Rosslyn is preceded in death by her parents, bothers and sisters (Kathleen Meikle, Waldo, John, Winfield, and Pauline Griffin), and a grandson (Nathan). She is survived by her husband W. Duane Parker, 5 children: Bill (Cheron), Peggy Hall (Larry), Clark (Christy), Todd (Wendy), Doug (Stacy), 23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Rosslyn found the greatest joy in her posterity. Rosslyn held many church callings, her favorite was serving the primary children. Rosslyn and Duane served a Public Relations Mission in South Carolina and a Church Historical Site Mission in St. George, Utah. She was a cosmetologist and had a salon in her home for many years. Family and friends may visit Friday evening, September 11, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm and again Saturday from 10 - 11 am at the Newton LDS Church prior to graveside services. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:30 am at the Newton City Cemetery, Newton, Utah. Thanks to those from Access Hospice and Legacy House that provided care and comfort.
