Betty Christensen Rasmussen

Betty Adeline Christensen Rasmussen aged 93 died May 4, 2023 surrounded by her family in North Logan of causes incident to age.
Betty was born June 16, 1929 in Whiterocks, Utah to Marinus Rasmus Christensen and Nora Eva Robb. She married Donald R. Rasmussen on August 13, 1947 in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She graduated high school from Alterra High School, graduated from Utah State University in Business Education. Don was eager that Betty get a higher education. He considered it as part of their life insurance. Betty worked as an assistant to Dr. Doran Baker in the Electrical Engineering Department, also at USU.
Don and Betty lived in multiple places on the Wasatch front before settling down in Providence and later Smithfield, Utah.
Betty remained a life-long, active member of the Church and served faithfully in many capacities. She loved sewing, making her children’s clothing in their younger years, and handmade many gifts. Crocheting and cross-stitch were her favorite and she leaves her children with many memories of her work.
Don and Betty had six children – Glenna Rae Trotter (Howard), Janet Dee Rasmussen (deceased), Betty Denise Gentzler (Doyle), Donald Nile Rasmussen (Sandra), Mark Kyle Rasmussen (Vicki) and Julie Kay Hansen (Glen).

Betty had four siblings, three brothers and one sister: Monty Paul, Dona Glee Crawford (Darrell), Marinus Dee (Arlene), and Gary Robb (Joyce).
Betty is preceded in death by Donald R., daughter Janet Dee, Monty Paul (brother), and Marinus Dee (brother).
Graveside Service, May 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lapoint, Utah Cemetery with luncheon and memories to follow at the Lapoint Latter-day Saint Church Building.
