Cheryl Ann (Tibbitts) Buttars, 69, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2016 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband and children in her home in Franklin, ID. Cheryl was born on October 25, 1946 in Logan, UT. She grew up in Riverdale, UT and was the middle child of two brothers and two sisters. She had a large extended family and many close friends she spent many good times with.Cheryl was married on September 8,1969 in the LDS Logan temple to Clint Buttars. Cheryl enjoyed being a loving wife and mother and doted on her grandkids. She spent many years teaching and caring for young children. She taught in the resource department at Harold B. Lee Elementary school in Dayton, ID and was a substitute teacher in California.Cheryl was always very creative and artistic, and she was very skilled in sewing. She sewed many treasured baby blankets, beautiful dresses, and clothes for herself and her children. She loved books and flowers. Cheryl and her husband owned West Side Nursery in Weston, ID and she grew such beautiful flowers people came from near and far every year to buy from her.Cheryl loved camping and vacationing, and she loved the desert. She loved to drive fast whether she was in a Buick or hot rod, and she loved to participate in car shows with her husband, family and friends.Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Elwin and Rose Tibbitts. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Clint, and her children, Ben, April (Les), and Melinda (Justin). She is also survived by her four siblings, Rosemary, Ron, Ken, and Eileen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 3rd at the Weston LDS Chapel. Bishop Austin will be officiating. Viewings will also be at the Weston LDS Chapel on Monday May 2nd from 6:00-8:00pm and Tuesday May 3rd from 9:00-10:30am. Burial will immediately follow the funeral in Clarkston, UT.
