Colleene Robison Wahlquist

There was a glorious reunion April 10, 2022, when Colleene Wahlquist, age 90, was reunited with her beloved Charles.

Colleene was born January 2, 1932 in the home of her grandparents in Ioka, Utah. She is the oldest child of Jennie Pearl Jenkins and Forrest J Robison. She married her sweetheart, Charles Wahlquist, February 8, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with six children. They started their married life on a farm in Randlett, Utah. They then lived in Idaho for 2 yrs, Washington for 12 years and in southern Utah for 40 years before moving to Hyrum, Utah.

Colleene loved crocheting and quilting. She created many beautiful quilts and crocheted items. She loved her flowers, camping and the out-of-doors. She loved her family and made many sacrifices for her children. She cared for her mother, her mother-in-law and her husband in their declining years. She cherished her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. She served a mission with Charles in the Dallas Texas Mission. Colleene was an avid genealogist and submitted hundreds of names for temple work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie Pearl Jenkins Robison McMullin and Forrest J. Robison, Step-father. Marriner F. McMullin, her husband Charles P. Wahlquist, her sister Grace Grover, brother Bob Robison, grandson Joshua Stout, brothers-in-law Fred Wahlquist and Glen Wahlquist, and sister-in-law Elsie Wahlquist.

Colleene is survived by her children, Clayton (Kaylene) Wahlquist, Peggy (Larry) Stout, Terrilynn (Donald) Stratton, Loreen (Jim) Taylor, Robert (Michelle) Wahlquist, Lee Allen (Denise) Wahlquist, by her siblings Vern (Pam) Robison, Frank (Marlene) McMullin, Joseph (Julie) McMullin, Kathy (Lyle) Talbot, David (Chris) McMullin, by brothers-in-law, Bryan (Carolina) Wahlquist, Wayne Wahlquist, Earl (Norma) Wahlquist, Brent (Diana) Wahlquist, and sisters-in-law Helen Wahlquist and Barbara Wahlquist.

Funeral Services will be held at the Hyrum North Stake Center (245 Apple Drive, Hyrum Utah) at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2022. Interment will be in the Toquerville Cemetery in Toquerville, Utah at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2022.
