Darrel G. Buttars

Darrel G. Buttars 64 passed away Sept. 21st in Salt Lake City. He was born July 8, 1952 in Logan UT to Arlen M. and Dolores Glover Buttars. He was raised in Lewiston and later move to Roseburg, Oregon. He married Debra Wertman in Sept. 1973, they had three children Jennifer (Blake Hart) Koryann (David) Freeze and Nick Higley. They were later divorced. Darrel loved sports, especially playing church softball and basketball. He cheered on the Seattle Seahawks, Oregon Ducks & Portland Trailblazers. He also liked fishing and camping. Darrel loved living in Oregon, going to the ocean and spending time on the beach. He is survived by his children, nine grandchildren, his Mother Dolores Buttars Logan, UT. brothers DeVon (Sheila) Buttars Clarkston, UT Dennis (Nancy) Buttars South Jordan, UT sisters Darlene (David) Andrew Lewiston, UT Darla Barrera Logan, UT and DiLynn (Steve) Christensen Richmond, UT. and a special friend Vernice. He was preceded in death by his father Arlen M. Buttars. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Lewiston Cemetery.
