David “Dave” LaMar Pitcher passed away on May 26, at the age of 79. Dave was one of the good ole boys, a great husband, father and grandpa.
He was born September 8, 1944 in Logan, Utah to Marion LeRoy Pitcher and Luella Rae Watson. He was the only son of four sisters.
In June of 1962 he met LaDonna Arnold cruising the streets of Brigham City and they were married in the Logan Utah Temple on Sept 25, 1964.Together, they had 3 children: Teressa, Suzette, and Lance.
Dave worked several jobs throughout his life. In the early years he worked at Del Monte Produce and Cantwell Lumber. He spent 28 years with Mtn Fuel(Questar Gas), after he retired it didn’t last long, not one being able to sit idle he started working at Palmers Automotive and lastly at Schreiber Foods with this daughter Suzette. He did all this along with helping run the family farm. He was a hard worker and instilled a very strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren.
Dave was a practical joker. If he had a “shit eating grin” on his face you knew he was up to something mischievous. He loved pheasant and grouse hunting as well as trout fishing with his many friends and family, no good bird hunt was complete until he had one of his favorite Browning shotguns and one of his bird dogs. He always loved going for rides or to the cutter races and making sure his lawn was well maintained.
Dave loved his family. He was very supportive, protective and proud of his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, LaDonna as well as his children Teressa (Kelly) Rodriguez, Suzette (Chad) Pitcher and Lance (Cindy) Pitcher; 5 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids.
