Donald Jay Varner

Donald Jay Varner passed away January 16, 2017 surrounded by family at Logan Regional Hospital. Born March 18, 1947 in Logan Utah Son of Dorris Elton and Marjorie Smith Varner. Don worked for Valley Rendering in Hyrum, also for Price City Public Works Dept and also the Coal Mines in Price Utah. He leaves behind one daughter Joyce Chuon. Donald was married to Linda Chritlow and they had three sons together that he leaves behind Jason Varner of Salt Lake City Utah and David (Jolinda) Varner of Price Utah and Kevin (Crystal) Varner of Colorado. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren. One brother Bill (Marilyn) Vaner of St. George Utah and one sister Julie (Stanley) Atkinson of Smithfield Utah.Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister in law Kennith and Earlene Varner, and Sister Gayle Varner Fox, and Sister Peggy Lee Varner Liberty and sister in laws Ellen Varner and Nina Varner, and 3 nephews and 1 niece. Special thanks to the ICU at Logan Regional Hospital. His Nurses Ally and April, and all of the staff that cared for Donald. Rocky Mountain Care Logan Utah for being his home for 14 years.
