Our beautiful mother, Donna Clydene Carrick Clark, returned home to our Heavenly Father Nov 26, 2018. Clydene was born July 7, 1929 to David Henry and Thelma Thornton Carrick in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Clydene was welcomed home by the love of her life, Robert Clark. They were married Aug 26, 1947. Bob returned to our heavenly home just shy of their 50th anniversary, after 21 years they are reunited. Mom was also greeted by her daughter Karen Grace Clark, her parents, two brothers David and Bryce and a sister Joyce.
Clydene is survived by her children Robert (Dawn) Butcher, Cynthia Vincent, Thelma “Bunny” (Norris, deceased) Arnold, Robbie (Ronda) Clark and Larry (Kelly) Clark. She leaves behind a legacy of 17 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren plus 2 to join the family soon. She also has two sisters Claudia Rae Zanone, Sally (Bob) McVane plus her brother Jay (Charlene) Carrick.
Mom loved helping her family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed the simple things in life like reading, cooking, baking, serving, hunting and fishing. Clydene also enjoyed camping trips and Sunday drives with her family.
Clydene was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in many callings with love. She was active in the community serving as the 4-H leader many years. Mom was also involved with the schools in PTA, being a room mother, and serving 2 years as PTA president. After moving to Burley Idaho she became involved with her children’s youth sports. Clydene served a mission at the Burley Family History Center. She loved genealogy. Mom will be greatly missed. Thank you Bunny for caring for mom the past 10 years and the assistance of Cynthia in that care. We’d also like to thank Dr. Nash and staff, plus all the hospice caregivers like Dr. Carlson Kami, Debbie, Denise, and Niki. A thank you also goes to the Staff at Rocky Mountain Care.
