Dorreen S. Godfrey, 83 of Clarkston passed away on August 29, 2013 at Williamsburg in Logan. She was born on October 3, 1929 in Clifton Idaho to Ivo John and Murial (Johnson) Sperry. She married Jesse W. Godfrey on October 20, 1947 in the Logan Temple. She was a active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint holding many positions. She loved working in her flower beds unless there was a quilt to be done. Which she loved making quilts. She is survived by her husband Jesse for almost 67 years, two daughters Bonnie (Gordon) Mendelkow of Providence, Utah. Connie (Duff) McFarland of Rexburg, Idaho, and one daughter-in-law Liz Godfrey of Logan, Utah, Four sons Norman (Vicki) of Hooper, Utah, LaRon (Ann W.) of Clarkston, Utah, Kim (Ann C.) of Clarkston, Utah, Terry (Carrie) of Smithfield, Utah; two brothers Paul (Alden) Sperry of Preston, Idaho and Jay (Linda) Sperry of Pocatello, Idaho. She has 30 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by one son Wayne and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.A viewing will be held at the Clarkston LDS Church on Tue September 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. (25 East 100 South). A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 4, at 11:00 am with a viewing at the church from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. Burial will be in Clarkston Cemetery following the service.
