Douglas Earl Varner

Douglas (Wubie) Varner, 59, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2016 surrounded by family. He was born on February 8, 1957 in Brigham City, Utah. Preceded by his parents Earlene Thompson and Kenneth Varner. He married Jo Ann Blevins September 22, 1979. Together they had 2 children, Jennifer (Richard Palmer) Varner, and Kenneth Varner (Tammy). A granddaughter, Kaylynn Renee and a grandson Mason Wyatt Palmer. Douglas was the oldest of 6 brothers and sisters: Elton (Teresa), Christian(Melissa), Leann( Rich), DJ(Jamie) and preceded by Brenda(Roger) Spackman. He had many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his grandparents Doris Elton Varner and Marjorie Smith Varner; Earl Thompson and Leora Larsen Thompson. He had many aunts and uncles. He was also preceded by 3 aunts Gail Fox, Peggy Liberty and Alta Tingey. Uncles Larry Wayne Thompson and Arland Tingey. Brother-in-law John Robert Algee. Cousin Curtis Wayne Thompson. He worked many years as a diesel mechanic working for Tri Miller's and Vulcraft Steel. He served in the Army. He loved fishing camping and hunting. He loved being in the Mountains. He had a great love for family and friends. He lived most of his life in Cache Valley, Brigham City, and Viriginia. Friends and Family are welcome to attend a viewing on Tuesday, July 5,2016 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Cache Valley Mortuary. Graveside service at 11:00 am at the Hyrum Cemetery. The family would like thank the staff of McKay Dee Hospital for the wonderful care they took of Doug.
