Glenna Brimhall Pier aged 94 a resident of Smithfield UT passed on March 31, 2025, at her home at Birch Creek Assisted Living.
Glenna was born to Jesse Temple and Veda Collett Brimhall on August 27, 1930, in Draper UT. She joined a large family with 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Beulah, Demar, Ray, Rhonda, Dell, J Robert and Gary with later addition of Dorthy and Norma.
Glenna met Robert Wesley Pier (Bob) in Farmington NM where they married on July 2 1954. They were later sealed for time and eternity August 1966 in Salt Lake City UT.
She attended school in Fallon NV, Susanville CA, Kaysville UT, and graduated from high school in Farmington NM. She attended Fort Lewis College for a short time, and continued her professional training in Salt Lake City UT for dental assisting and in Arapahoe CO for dental hygienist. In El Paso TX, she worked as a dental assistant for William Beaumont Medical at Fort Bliss Army Base. While living in Aurora CO she worked in the office of Drs Westover and Lee.
Glenna possessed a lively and outgoing personality. She was very interested in those she met, especially caring for those feeling left out. She was a talented homemaker, and skilled artist. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping, and history along with genealogical research.
Glenna is survived by her sister Norma Brimhall Taylor, and brother-in-law Ralph Slaugh. She is also survived by her children Alecia Pier Knudson, Smithfield UT; Robert Wesley Pier II, Parker CO; Rebecca Pier Larsen, Preston ID; and Janamarie Pier Hamerquist, Divide CO. Her 19 grandchildren who she loved, and thought were GREAT. As of her death she had 33 great grandchildren.
Glenna was preceded by her husband Bob, her parents Jesse and Veda, and siblings Beulah, Demar, Ray, Rhonda, Dell, J Robert, Gary and Dorthy.
She will be buried beside her husband Bob in the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver CO on April 18, 2025. Service is at 9:00 a.m.
