Gordon Eugene Jones

Gordon Eugene Jones peacefully passed from this life in the early morning hours on October 19, 2022. He was born December 28, 1931, to Eugene Parkinson Jones and Olive Kidman Jones. He grew up in Wellsville, Utah with two brothers and three sisters.
He married his sweetheart, Carole Olson. They moved to Ogden, Utah where they had three daughters: Laurel, Christine and Melanie. He returned to Logan in 1967 and opened his own business, Gordon’s Glass Company.
He enjoyed yard work and gardening. He loved to boat and fish and spend time outdoors in the mountains. He loved spending time with his family and has left them with many happy memories of good times together. He was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Carole, and daughters Laurel R. Larsen (Jerry L.), Christine Wheeler (Paul), Melanie Thornley (Tad), eleven (11) grandchildren, twenty-nine (29) great grandchildren, two (2) great-great grandchildren and his brother, Dan Jones (Alona) and two sisters, Gloria Harris (Owen) and Marcia Swartz (Tony).
A memorial service will be held October 26, 2022 at the Meadow View Ward Chapel at 2540 North 400 East; North Logan, Utah. A viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the North Logan Memorial Park at 2200 East 2500 North (2517 White Pine Lane); North Logan, Utah.
