Heather Nicole Marshall

October 18, 1985 — December 15, 2024

Lewiston

Heather Marshall was born October 18,1985 at Hill Air Force base in Utah. She resided in Lewiston, Utah with her husband and two children. She grew up a military kid living in Utah, England, Germany, Texas, Turkey, and Kansas. She attended high school at Ogden High and graduated from Layton Christian Academy in 2003 as the valedictorian. Heather was a proud Ute receiving a Bachelor of Science in Consumer and Community Studies and a Master’s in Public Policy and many other certifications.

For 15 years, she was a certified personal finance counselor. She loved serving people through her skills of finance, data analysis, and policy. She worked for the following companies: AAA Fair Credit Foundation, Western Governors University, the University of Utah, and Utah Office of the Courts. Heather saw the world through data and organized her world and others through lists and spreadsheets. She was practical, analytical, and generous in sharing these skills with others.

Heather enjoyed traveling, wood working, tap dancing, home renovation, skiing, and cake decorating with her mom. Growing up, Heather played basketball, volleyball, skied, and participated in debate. She wore a lot of red both as a Ute and a Kansas City Chiefs fan. She passed on her love of sports to her children, (but not her husband 😊) and enjoyed driving them to practice and cheering for them at their games.

She had a great love of music. She played the French horn, guitar, and mandolin. She found a husband who equally loves music and they inspired their children in this area. Both her children are becoming skilled musicians and going to their concerts was a highlight of many weeks.

From a young age, Heather had a personal relationship with Jesus. He was her guide and strength in life. She sought wisdom from His word and talked to Him often. As a follower of Christ, she volunteered her time and talents to lead worship and serve in a multitude of ways at the various churches she was a part of in her life.

Heather was a proud homeowner who bought her first condo at the age of 24 to the house most recently purchased in Lewiston in 2022. As a Cache Valley resident, she grew in her skills at gardening, composting, and living more connected to the land.

In March 2010, Heather married Josiah Marshall. They have two children, Joel Edward Marshall born in 2012 and Karlie Elizabeth Grace Marshall born in 2014. As a family, they had a deep love of the outdoors. Camping, road trips to national parks, and hiking to waterfalls were favorite vacations and sweet family time.

Preceded by maternal grandparents Tommy Fisher and Iris Pearce, Josiah’s paternal grandmother, Moo, paternal grandparents, Red and Robbie Baker, dog Binks, and cat Chester.
