Ilene Varue Wood

Ilene VaRue Frei Wood, 74, returned to live with her father in heaven on August 15, 2016. Ilene was one of six children born to Albert Herman Frei and Blen Fife in Idaho Falls Idaho July 5, 1942. She was always very hard working including over 35 years of billing and reception work at the hospital. She always found time to get more training and education as she progressed. Throughout her life she was a very active and dedicated membe of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and served various callings as well as found time to sing in the ward choir. Ilene had many hobbies including cross stitching, crocheting and loved to color every time she got the chance.At the age of eighteen she met “Woody” who claims it was love at first sight and has loved her ever since. Soon after she married the love of her life for time and all eternity, Wen “Woody” Arval Wood, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 26th, 1960. Together they had four children, Ray (Carla) Wood; Karma (Harold) Hansen; Cindy Larson; Wenette (Phillip) Burtcher; and a foster son Delba Campbell. She is preceded in death by five siblings and three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is survived by her four children; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
