James David Gittins

James David Gittins, born April 16, 1939 to Lorin Dewayne and Isabell Gittins, returned to his Heavenly Father March 25, 2017 from Wegners Disease. Jim worked hard all his life on the Union Pacific Railroad as a mechanic then thirty plus years at Logan Manufacturing- known as LMC. He designed and helped build snow groomers and traveled to Japan, Australia, Greenland, and various other places trouble shooting these machines. Jim designed the Thirty-Seven Snowcat and took great pride in that machine. Jim loved yard work from mowing the lawn on his John Deere, tilling the garden and raising vegetables. Jim and Nola Raised five children Sherri (Robert) White, Terri (Joel) Spackman, Jesse Gittins, Mitch (Lucy) Gittins and Mike Gittins. Funeral Services are under the direction of Cache Valley Mortuary, (4350-787-8514. A graveside service will be held Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
