James Robert Madden Jr., age 35, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. He was born to Donna Mae Moran and James Robert Madden Sr. on July 5th, 1982 in Reno, Nevada. James attended Edgemont Elementary and Middle school, and Graduated from Custer High School in 2000. James grew up in Edgemont, SD working with his grandfather Robert Moran Sr on cars and all sorts or mechanical things. Which is where his love for mechanics, welding, and fixing things began. He moved to Logan, Utah in 2002. He started to attend USU in mechanical engineering. This is where in October of 2006 he met his wife and best friend Traci. James quickly fell in love with not only her but her two children and loved spending time with Hayden and Skyler. In 2010 James was elated to know he would become a dad his daughter Kenadii Dawn was born. Then in 2016 he was elated again to welcome his son Zander James. Then excitement came again… he was so proud and so excited to welcome one more son in May of 2018. James lived a life of helping others with anything he could. He had a way to make anyone feel welcome and cared for. He had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.He is survived by his wife and best friend, Traci Brown Madden, daughter Kenadii Madden, son Zander Madden, and one son Talon due in May of 2018. Step mother Debra Madden Sturgis, SD, Six loving sisters, Dawn Tinney (Jason) Sheridan, WY, Tamra Magelky (Tyler) Sturgis, SD, Shelli Thoresen (Stony) Sioux Falls, SD, Bethany Evans (Richie Kersch), Rebecca Madden (Wyatt Haukaas) Sturgis, SD, Katy Madden Sturgis, SD, and two loving brothers John Witt Pine Ridge, SD, and Zack Evans (Karma Stirling) Edgemont, SD. Many nieces and nephews that he loved so dearly, and aunts, uncles and other loving relatives.A celebration of life service will be held at the LDS church house, 350 West 700 South, Logan, Utah on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 12 p.m. The family will be there to greet relatives and friends.
