Janene "Jan" Everitt

July 2, 1943 — July 30, 2018

Carolyn Janene (Jan) Call Everitt, 75, passed away at home peacefully on July 30, 2018.  Jan was born in Pocatello, ID on 2 July 1943 as the first child to Carolyn Johnson & Lowell E. Call.  As a child, Jan traveled around the world with her family while her father served in the military, she was proud to say she was an “Airforce Brat.”  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Brigham Young University.  Jan served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints in the Australia South Mission.  While in college she met her husband, William Snyder Everitt and they were married in the Salt Lake City, Utah temple.  After finishing college, she moved to Wellsville, Utah, where she raised 4 children, pets, a beautiful yard and vegetable garden. Jan lovingly forced her love of arts through involving others around her in music, dance, plays, musicals, quilting, costuming, beading…  She kept pencils, paper, scissors & tape readily available, encouraging creativity in all children who entered her home.  Jan extended her love to everyone, making special efforts to include others who were less fortunate and needing friendship.  Her love of children grew even more as a grandmother and playing with kids on the floor in her nursery job for many years.  Although she couldn’t serve in the nursery the last few months of her life, children from the nursery continued to visit her.  Jan was released from her nursery calling the day before she died. Jan is survived by her spouse, Bill Everitt, four children: Anson (spouse: Miho), Heber (Melanie), Emeline (Jeff), Jake (Natalie), and 15 grandchildren.  In addition, she is survived by siblings Scott (Victoria), Clair (Sandy), Val (Carrie), L. Mont, Lynn & Lori.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Marlae (Mike - living). Thanks to all the family, friends, neighbors, and Access Home Health and Hospice for the visits, food, and continued care of Jan during her life transition.A public viewing will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 from 6-8pm at the Wellsville Stake Center, 31 S. Center Street, Wellsville, UT.  An additional viewing will be held in the same location on Aug. 4, 2018 from 9:30-10:30am.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am.  Dedication of the grave will follow the service in the Wellsville City Cemetery.
