Jared Laurence Baker

Jared Laurence Baker, 31 was born August 30, 1985 in Murray, UT. He died June 27, 2017 from a tragic accident while on a work trip. He was a proud Eagle Scout, graduated from Sky View High School in 2003 where band and marching band were a great love. He loved his tuba and music. He married his High School sweetheart Emily Helen Kirby May 13, 2006. He graduated from USU in 2014 with a Natural Resources, fisheries emphasis Bachelor’s degree. He started his career working at the Logan and Midway fish hatcheries in 2013. Fish were a great love of his. He enjoyed handling the fish and science most of all. In his free time, he spent every moment with his dear family, teasing and loving every chance he got.He is survived by his “Wifey” Emily, son Vincent, daughter Violet, his parents Roger and Lenora Baker (Hyde Park), two brothers Jesse and David, mother-in-law Linda Kirby (Richmond), Joy Baker (Hyde Park), Hazel Stuker (Havre, MT), and many other family members. Preceded in death by his father-in-law Louis A. Kirby, and grandfathers Joseph Stuker and Laurence Baker. The viewing will be held on July 5, 2017 at Cache Valley Mortuary, 80 W 4200 N Hyde Park UT from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on July 6, 2017 at Mack Park, 70 Canyon Rd, Smithfield, UT starting at 10 am.
