Jeffrey E Bodily

Smithfield – Jeffrey E. Bodily of Smithfield, Utah, passed away Aug. 27, 2014, in Burns, Oregon. Jeff was born March 4, 1971, in Logan, Cache County, Utah, to Lloyd Edwin and Sharron Godfrey Bodily. His family moved to California in 1972, but he always remained a country boy at heart. He looked forward each year to returning to Cache Valley in the summer to shoot guns, fish and ride horses.He also loved football and swimming. He was on his high school football and diving teams. He was a very outgoing, gregarious young man, always up for an adventure. We were so blessed to have been part of his life.He worked in the construction industry in California and loved seeing buildings come together. A back injury 13 years ago brought his construction life to an abrupt end. Constant pain ruled the rest of his life. In 2001, he moved to Oregon and lived the country life he so enjoyed. There he started his family and was so proud of his children; they were the light of his life. He loved to attend their school and sporting events.He loved his friends and family and was loyal to them. He is survived by his parents of Smithfield, his family, Carey Goss, Bryce Goss, Garrett Goss-Bodily, and Cara Jo Goss-Bodily of Burns, Oregon; his brothers Craig (Erin) Bodily of Draper, Ryan (Christy) Bodily of Henderson, Nevada, Robert (Katy) Bodily of Lehi; his sisters Diane (Glenn) Dewey of Granbury, Texas and Annette (Scott) Vest of Spanish Fork.Funeral Services will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Smithfield, Utah Stake Center, 600 E. 120 South.
