John Murray Larsen Ii

July 11, 1952 — January 27, 2023

John Murray Larsen II, passed away surrounded by family on January 27th, 2023. He was born on July 11th, 1952, to Ileene and John Murray (Junior) Larsen. He was raised in Newton, Utah and graduated from Sky View High School.
He married Pamela Coombs from Tremonton, Utah in December of 1974. They were later sealed in the Logan temple in March of 2000. They planted roots in his hometown of Newton, and together they raised six children.
Murray had a great love of the outdoors where he enjoyed camping, riding horses, hunting, and raising Australian Shepherds. His children were his pride and joy and his grandchildren were his legacy. One of his favorite pastimes was enjoying time spent with family together at home.
Murray is survived by his wife, Pam Larsen. His children: Ryan (Brandi) Larsen, Valerie Larsen, Jennifer (Branden) Jensen, Heather Larsen, John Murray (Alex) Larsen, and Whitney (Wiley) Forbush; grandchildren: Madelyn, Eli, Allie, Ella, Mac, and Harvey. He is also survived by four sisters. Children were dad’s soft spot & he had such memorable and special relationships with each grandchild.
Murray was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at IMC in Salt Lake for providing exceptional care to Murray and showing his entire family such consideration and attentiveness.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 1st from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Newton church, 12 South 100 West, Newton, Utah 84327.
Internment will be in the Newton cemetery later this spring.
