Joshua Allen Stubbs, 17, lived in Cove Utah. Josh is survived by his parents, Jamie and Aaron Stubbs, and his sister and brothers, Alaina Davis and Josh Davis, Carson Stubbs and Luke Stubbs. He is also survived by loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Josh was born on 24 April 2006 in Provo, Utah. HIs personality, wit and bright spirit were evident to his family from a young age. His smile could light a room. His eyes could both twinkle or be mischievous, depending on his mood. When he was young, those mischievous looks helped us keep him out of trouble on numerous occasions, as he was an adventurous little boy that often seemed to have some kind of plan he wanted to get away with.
He was easy to love. He was smart- school and good grades came to him almost effortlessly. He was athletic and played competition soccer, followed by mountain bike racing, then volleyball. In reality, Josh could play most any sport, or engage in nearly any activity, and quickly become proficient.
Josh loved people, though he began to deal with anxiety in his last couple of years, which often hid this fact from others that might have been around him. Those that knew him though, knew how soft he was, how ready he was to show love through small acts of service, or a hug. He was uncommonly kind and accepting of others, always ready to make new friends, or extend a hand to someone that seemed lonely. These things often manifested when people needed help getting work done- to Josh, this was quality time and was one of the ways he projected his love.
Joshua’s body remains on this earth, but he has moved across the threshold and into the arms of those that have gone before us, and into the arms of a loving and merciful Heavenly Father. We will meet him again one day, as we cross that same threshold and embrace him on the other side of the veil. Until we meet again, dear son.
