Julie Debra Hunsaker

February 21, 1959 — June 9, 2019

Julie Debra HunsakerLogan, UT –  Julie Debra Hoth Hunsaker, 60 returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, on June 9, 2019, at Ogden Regional Medical Center, due to multiple health complications.
Julie was born Feb. 21, 1959 to her parents Clyde H Hoth and Fern L Olson. She was the youngest of their six children, including one son and five daughters.
She married Gale J Elwood on June 15, 1988, in Logan, UT. He passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 22, 1990 in an automobile accident. Julie helped raise his children, Jesse, Krystal and Lonnie. On May 6,1991, Julie gave birth to their son, Jake Gale.
Julie later married Shane D Hunsaker on July 30, 1994 in the Logan LDS Temple.  At that time, Jake was then sealed to Shane and Julie. On May 14th, 2002, Shane and Julie welcomed their daughter, Shalyce Marie.
Julie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and called the Logan 29th ward, her home. She served in many callings, but serving in the primary with her husband, was her favorite.
Julie attended Cache valley schools, graduating from Logan High School.  She then attended classes at USU before completing her Medical Assisting class in Salt Lake.
This gave her one of her greatest opportunities to do something she loved, by taking care of others. She enjoyed working for physicians and taking care of their patients. She always talked fondly of the girls she got to work with. However, her greatest passion was “CLOWNING AROUND.”  She became skilled at making balloon animals and enjoyed doing birthday parties for all ages, reunions and any other special occasions.
Later in life, Julie enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, sewing halloween costumes, planting flowers and taking care of friends and family in need.Julie always had a special place in her heart for the  “under dogs” in the world or people who were lonely and  needed a friend.  Making friends easily, was a talent Julie exceeded well with, and became friends with everyone.
Julie is survived by her loving husband, Shane, their children, Jake Gale Hunsaker of San Jose, CA and Shalyce Marie Hunsaker of Logan, UT.  She is also survived by her siblings Marlin, Kay, Lucille and Ruth and their families as well as many loved in-laws, nephews and nieces and other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Deann Hoth and her 1st husband, Gale Elwood.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the  Logan 29th ward Relief Society, the Physicians and nurses and other staff, at Logan and Ogden Regional Hospitals.  And above all else, to our family and friends, for an overwhelming support of love, and to our Heavenly Father, who has filled our hearts with peace and walked beside us through this heartbreaking journey.
