Karen Fuhriman Poulsen - 78 years old of Smithfield, Utah passed away on Nov 10, 2016 in Logan, Utah. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am and the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Nov 17th at Smithfield 4th Ward, 660 West 200 North, Smithfield. Burial will follow the funeral at Smithfield cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cache Valley Mortuary.Karen was born in Logan, Utah on April 2, 1938 to Albert and Rozella Law Fuhriman. She graduated from Logan High and attended two years of college. Karen was married to Kenneth Poulsen on October 29, 1958. They are the parents of four children. They were later divorced. Karen worked as a bookkeeper for Hancy, Jones, Waters and Wright. After her retirement she worked for Sparrow and Kunz. She worked there at the time of her death. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she had many callings. She especially loved to play the piano in Primary and the organ in Sacrament meetings. She also enjoyed her work at the temple. Karen is survived by, her children, Susan and Randy Porter, Laurie and Larry Maughan, David and Joy Poulsen, Denise and Eugene Stout; Three sisters Elinore, Sue Ann and Anine; twelve grandchildren; Fourteen great-grandchildren. Karen is preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.
