Kathy DaughertyMay 22, 1943 – Jan 30, 2016Kathleen S. Daugherty 73, passed away peacefully January 30, 2016, surrounded by her friends and family. She was born May 22, 1943, in Logan, Utah to Gordon and Yvonne Steele. Kathy was the oldest of 3-children. She graduated from Logan High and attended USU. It was there she met her husband Brent Daugherty. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple. They raised two children together. They made their home in several states but eventually settled in Hyde Park, Utah. She worked for many years in the Admin. Division of the Sociology Department at USU until she retired. She was passionate about animals and they brought her much joy throughout her life. She is survived by her husband Brent Daugherty, her sons Jeff and Jason Daugherty and her brother Greg Steele. Words will fail the family in expressing their deep gratitude to: Her wonderful friends and neighbors for their undaunted service; to Julie Ward who led her amazing CNS hospice team and; to Xochi Frankman who led the compassionate crew at Autumn Care. A viewing will be held on Wednesday Feb. 3 from 5:30-7:30 pm and funeral services will be held on Thursday Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Hyde Park LDS church located at 480 N. 100 W. A viewing will be held prior to service from 9:30-10:30 at the same location.Funeral Service under the direction of Cache Valley Mortuary. 3207 North Main North Logan 435 787-8514.
