Kurt Bradbury Hunsaker of Logan UT, (74) passed away at his home peacefully on March 2, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Kurt was born in Brigham City, UT and grew up in Corrine, UT He attended schools in Brigham City and eventually met his sweetheart Judy Tracy in High School. Kurt’s family then moved to Newton, Kansas where he finished and graduated from Newton High School. After graduation, he quickly decided to move back to UT, to once again find his sweetheart. They were married in 1974, and on Nov 24, 2007 they were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.
During their 50 years together they raised their three children, Shane, Natasha and Boedy in Smithfield, where they made it their home. As a couple, they later moved to Logan where they settled in their new home. Kurt and Judy enjoyed many fun filled activities as a family. Among their favorites was camping and other outdoor activities as well as swimming. As a couple, Kurt and Judy enjoyed years of riding motorcycles and traveling to many wonderful places with friends.
Kurt was a salesman by trade, and could sell anything to anyone. He found a job at United Electric in Logan and eventually ended up managing it for nearly 23 years. On many occasions he would also have to travel out of the area for as long as a week at a time. On these occasions, he would choose to take one of the kids with him for their very own Dad time. So many memories were created for his family.
Kurt was also certified in many areas of building inspections, and was asked to travel all over the state of UT and many other areas as needed.
Kurt is survived by his wife Judy of Logan, UT, Son Shane Hunsaker of Logan, UT, Daughter Natasha (Marcia) Hunsaker of Thornton CO, Boedy (Camille) of Smithfield, UT.
Two grandchildren, Jake Hunsaker of San Francisco, CA and Shalyce Hunsaker of Logan, UT.
He is also survived by Sister in Law Heli Hunsaker, Brother Frank (Nita), Brother Charles, Brother in Law Gary Hoover, Brother Scott (Alison), Brother Eric (Marci), Brother Greg (Carol) and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Arliss, Brother Bill and Brother Gary and Sister in Law Madeline, Sister Candy Hoover, and daughter in law Julie Hunsaker
Graveside services will be held:
Tuesday, March 7th at noon, at the Smithfield Cemetery at 300 East Center St.
Following will be a family luncheon and celebration of life at their church house in Logan, at 1255 North 600 East.
