Larraine C. Monson

February 22, 1945 — January 20, 2018

Our loving mother, Larraine Carol Monson, peacefully returned to her Father in Heaven on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the age of 72. She was born on February 22, 1945 in American Fork, Utah. She was the second set of twins with her brother, David Clark Monson. She graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1963. She is survived by her brothers, Dewey (Carol) Monson, Kenneth (Rosi) Monson, John (Diane) Monson, Richard (Claudia) Monson, and David Monson; and one Sister Susan (Steve) Babbel. She is remembered by seven children Rabecca (Erik) Atkinson, Sheldon Whitney, Malissa (Tracy) Stokes, Tarisa (Charles) Maughan, John (Desiree) Whitney, Lynnette (Fernando) Unzaga, Nick (Marcia) Whitney, and there Father Arthur Whitney. She cherished her 17 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ephriam Venzel and Mildred Arlene Monson, a brother James Osborne Monson, and two sisters Barbra Arlene Parry, and Anita Louise Bowen. A viewing will be held on Tuesday January 23rd, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Cache Valley Mortuary 80 West 4200 North Hyde Park. Friends and Family are welcome to a viewing prior to the funeral Services at 10:30 till 11:30 AM at the Hyde Park 9th Ward Chapel 65 East Center Street Hyde Park. Interment will be at the Hyde Park Cemetery following the service. Our Family would like to thank all who have helped with love support and compassion for our mothers care. Cache Valley Mortuary, The Gables, Blair and all the staff, Rocky Mountain Hospice, Debbie Jordan and Mckenzie for helping the family in the last days of mom’s life. Dr. Bough, Sunshine Care, Jolene Brown, Lisa Poulsen, and Linda Corbridge. We also want to thank all the 9th Ward, and Bishop Kirk Poulsen for all that was done for mom and the family “We Love you and we will miss you”
