Lucas James Downing, 42 of Logan, Utah passed away on November 8, 2022 in his sleep.
Lucas was born in Rolla, Missouri to Jeannie and John.
Lucas is survived by his wife Katrina Downing; children Bridget Cruse, Cory Cruse, Alexus Johnson, Briar Rose Johnson, Gwynhwyfar Larsen and Lucas Downing Jr; mother Jeannie Boyce; siblings Joshua Tarbet, Janice Chapman and Jason Chapman; and his father John Downing. He was preceded by his grandpa Louis Mehrhoff; step-fathers Joseph Chapman and Steven Smith.
Lucas had a way of finding the good in people and life. He was a real prankster and loved joking around. Lucas preferred hands on work and keeping busy. He worked as an assembly technician throughout his life and tinkered in his spare time. He also enjoyed reading, cooking and walking his dog along the river trails.
He had a deep faith in God and wore a St. Jude pendant. Lucas was a man full of love for others and in return, he was loved by many. He will be missed.
Private services will be held this coming week.
