Mack William Tueller returned to his Heavenly Father on February 9, 2023 at the age of 93. He was born September 16, 1929 in Brigham City, Utah the oldest of seven children of William Von Almen Tueller and Azalia McDonald Tueller.
He married Lona Rae Jensen on September 11, 1953 in the Logan Temple. She passed away on January 18, 1997.
Dad’s growing up years were spent in Geneva, Idaho. He had many fond memories of living in Geneva on the farm.
Dad served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Texas-Louisiana Mission. He now has two grandchildren serving in the same area. Dad was a valiant servant for the church which he loved very much. He served in many church callings.
He attended college at Utah State Agriculture College in Logan, Utah now known as Utah State University. He graduated with a degree in Dairy Manufacturing with a minor in chemistry.
Dad joined the United States Air Force which he served for two years.
Dad and Mom moved to Sacramento, California where they lived for fifteen years raising their family. Dad worked for many years at Aerojet. Dad and mom always wanted to move back to Utah. Aerojet laid him off in 1968. They stayed in Sacramento four more years working at various jobs. University California Davis, managing newspaper routes for the Sacramento Union, milking cows to name a few. In 1972 our family moved back to Cache Valley. Dad worked at Cache Valley Dairy making the starter for Swiss cheese until his retirement.
Dad had many interests. Some of them were, Honey bees, reading, being with his family. Later after marrying his second wife Maurine he enjoyed traveling.
On October 8, 1999 he married Maurine Humphreys Baxter in Logan, Utah. Together they had fourteen children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were married for twenty-three good years making many memories. Both families were happy they had each other. They had many friends and were loved by everyone. Maurine passed away February 5, 2023.
Dad is survived by his children, Zonna Tueller Christley (Robert), Bradley Tueller (Leslie), Robert Tueller (deceased), Lanell Tueller Ferguson (Wade), Norman Tueller (SueZan), David Tueller (Stephanie), Andrea Tueller Connor (deceased), Douglas Tueller (Lisa) and Kevin Tueller (Ana). 36 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Sisters, Gae (Wayne) Pace, Marva Heaton and Joan Bingham. Many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks goes to Barton Creek Staff in Bountiful, Utah, Sara Stettler at Utah Home Health and Hospice for the loving and tender care they gave Dad and Maurine. Also, Cache Valley Mortuary.
Viewing and funeral services for dad will be held on February 18, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 660 West 200 North, Smithfield, Utah. Viewing at 11:30am funeral at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Logan Cemetery.
