Maria Flores, 57, Beloved Mother and Dedicated Worker, Passes Away After Battling Cancer

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Flores, aged 57, on March 20th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. A hardworking and devoted mother, Maria faced her illness with strength, grace, and determination, qualities that defined her throughout her life.

Maria was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and later moved to Smithfield, Utah, where she spent most of her life. She was a tireless worker and a loving mother who always put her family first. Her children, Josafat and Ericka, will forever remember her as the steady and loving presence in their lives, guiding them with wisdom, love, and endless sacrifice. Maria’s dedication to her family was matched only by her kindness and generosity toward others.

Her husband, Raul, was her greatest partner, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories. Maria's sense of humor and warm heart made her a beloved friend to many, and her thoughtful gestures and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Maria also shared her life with a cherished companion, her cat Nena, who had been by her side since she was a kitten. Nena brought Maria much joy and comfort, and they shared a bond that was as special as the love Maria had for all her family.

In accordance with Maria’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. She has been cremated, and her family asks that you remember her with love and fondness.

Maria is survived by her husband, Raul; her children, Josafat and Ericka; and all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by all.
