William Mckay Peirce, 24, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2017 in Ogden, Utah and was welcomed home with open arms by his Heavenly Father and loving family. Mckay was born September 1, 1993 in Heber City, Utah to Mindy Peirce Ohlwiler and Tyrone Wootton.Mckay graduated from Fast Forward Charter High School and LDS Seminary in 2012. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Smithfield YSA Ward and had made many wonderful friendships there.Mckay enjoyed playing a good game of basketball and video games with friends. He loved his family and spending time with them. He would look forward to the annual Bear Lake Peirce reunion each year and many priceless memories were made there. He was instilled with a love for books by his mother and Grandma Judy and especially enjoyed reading Harry Potter.Mckay was presented with many challenges over his 24 years on this earth, some physical and some mental. He had a beautiful spirit and a heart of gold deep inside and was always willing to help another.We love you Mickey-D and you will forever be in our hearts.Mckay is dearly loved and survived by his parents, Brent and Mindy Ohlwiler of Smithfield, Utah; siblings Tanner Remund, Callie Ohlwiler, and Daxton Ohlwiler; grandparents Gary and LaRene Peirce; grandparents Rod and Juliann (Ohlwiler) Anderson; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and great-grandparents. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Judy Peirce; grandparents, Alan and Janet Ohlwiler; father, Tyrone Wootton; step-father, BillyChris Remund.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Smithfield LDS Chapel, located at 345 East 300 South, Smithfield, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 12th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and prior to services, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Smithfield City Cemetery.
