Milton Stephenson

Milton Stephenson passed away at his home in Providence, Utah, on March 19, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born in Preston, Idaho on August 23, 1938. He is survived by his wife Beverly Stephenson of Providence, Utah. He had five children, Kimberly Gleave (Robert, deceased), Milton Jr. (Heidi), Maren, Melissa and Russell (Kira). He was preceded in death by Carvel and Lois Stephenson (parents), Carvel Jr. and Ann (brother and sister-in-law), Shirley and Lloyd Babbitt (sister and brother-in-law), Marilyn (sister), Gretchen Morris (niece), and Kirk Babbitt (nephew). He will be remembered by all his family and friends and missed.
Milton attended Utah State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He worked for over 20 years for the Army Corp of Engineers and retired from the Department of Defense. His specialty was flood control and designed many city water systems, dams and harbors including: Los Angeles, Phoenix, Santa Barbara, Sacramento, Biloxi, and Seoul, Korea.
Milton was active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings. He was a Ward Clerk, Financial Ward Clerk, and served in an Elders Quorum Presidency. As a Financial Ward Clerk, he served for 20 years in various wards.
Milton loved to watch sports, especially when his children were playing. He enjoyed playing sports, especially church softball and golf with his brothers. He was a wonderful husband, father and brother. He was sealed to Beverly for 46 wonderful years. He will be missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
