Raida Stoddard Loveland

Raida Stoddard Loveland, Hagerman Idaho, passed away Wednesday Oct 5, at age of 72. She was born June 7, 1944 in Rupert Idaho, one of five children of Verdean and Madora Stoddard. She grew up near Rupert Idaho and graduated from Minico High School. After High School she went on to graduate from Rexberg College and become an elementary school teacher and taught 4th grade in Heyburn elementary School. She married LaMar Loveland on May 27, 1964 in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple. Together they went into the farming and dairy business in Paul Idaho and later bought a farm in Rupert Idaho, raising three children, 2 daughters, Lenette and Jamie and one son Joshua. During this time as a wife and mother, Raida also did most of the farm work with the help of the children, while LaMar worked at livestock auctions all over southern Idaho, 6 days a week. In 2000 they sold their farm and bought a home in Hagerman, Idaho with trout ponds, springs and creek. For the next 16 years they enjoyed friends and relatives that would come fishing. Raida was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as Primary President, Relief Society President, Visiting Teacher and faithful member of the church all her life.She was preceded in death by her parents and two brother in laws. She is survived by her husband LaMar, daughters Lenette Loveland, Boise Idaho, Jamie (Billy) Mitchell, Boise Idaho, son Joshua (Karen) Loveland, Houston Texas, grand children Jeremy, Jordan, Jake, Halle, Cortlyn, Dakoda, Presley, Avery and Emma, Brothers Evan (Charlene) Stoddard, Gary (Deborah) Stoddard, sisters Nile Krahn and Janet Bingham, and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at the Hagerman LDS Church Wednesday October 12, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM. The funeral service will follow after at 1:00 PM. Graveside services will also be held Wednesday October 12 at 4:00 PM at the Rupert City Cemetery.
