Rebecca "Becky" Valdez

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of beloved Becky Valdez. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side after an acute struggle with a medical condition. She is survived by her daughters Alexis Brown and Taylor Valdez, and former husband Dr. Richard (Rich) Valdez. She is also survived by five brothers and sisters: Stephen Beecher, Michael Beecher, Jennifer Beecher, William Beecher, and Teresa Beecher.
Becky was born in Wiesbaden, Germany while her father was deployed on military service. She was raised in southern California, where she excelled at gymnastics and was known for her love of life and the beach. After moving to Logan, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Human Development from Utah State University and was a member of the USU Gymnastics team. She married Rich in 1987 and started a family for which she cared deeply. Alexis and Taylor both attended Sky View High School, and Rich was a prominent figure in water and fisheries management of North America. Becky worked closely with Dr. Marlowe Goble at Western Surgery Center and was a proud employee of Innovative Medical Device Solutions. She cherished her work with pride and dedication.
A celebration of life will be held on October 27, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at The ANNEX in Logan for those who would like to share stories and celebrate Becky’s wonderful life. A Venmo account has been created to assist with funeral costs: @BeckyValdezMemorial
