Robert Wayne Hardy passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on March 28, 2017. He was born in Fort Benton, Montana, to Bernard John Hardy and Dorothy Mae (Brewer) Hardy on May 24th 1939. He met the love of his life, Genell Peterson, in 1956 and they were married July 7, 1957. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple December 2003. He was a professional equipment operator, enjoyed his garden, and especially family gatherings. He is survived by his loving wife Genell and five children, Sheila (Michael) Smith, Bob (Stephanie) Hardy, Becky (Kris) Petersen, Wayne (Denise) Hardy, Tamara (Martin) Retzloff, 20 grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings Gene (Edyth) Hardy, (Shirley) Hardy, Glen (Maxine) Hardy, Karyn (Jim) Audet, (Marsha) Hardy, Diana (Mike) O’hara, and several in-laws that love him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings Donnie, Jim, andDennis, a son-in-law Neil Rasmussen, and daughter-in-law Vera Taylor Hardy. The family appreciates Access Hospice, very special nurse Bonnie Harte, and Dr. Mark Firth for the excellent care and compassion that has been shown.A viewing and visitation will be held Monday April 3rd from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Cache Valley Mortuary, 80 West 4200 North Hyde Park Ut 84318 followed by a graveside services at the Lewiston City Cemetery.
