Robert Joseph (Bob) Page passed away Friday June 27, 2014 due to complications from a traumatic brain injury sustained in 2011. He was born March 27, 1957 in Provo, Utah to William and Betty Page. He was raised and educated in Salt Lake City, graduating from Cottonwood High School in 1975. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Los Angeles Mission from 1976-1978. Bob married Joy Gyllenskog on April 20, 1979 in the Salt Lake temple. Together they raised 3 children, of whom he was very proud. He is also grandpa to 6 awesome grandchildren: Daxton, Kelton, Ali, Tayton, Zoey and Trace. He worked as a glazier in SLC before becoming Don Skagg’s chief designer and head of installation of television studios across the country and in Canada. In 1998 he moved his family to Smithfield, Utah and later opened his own business. Old Mill Cabinets gave him the opportunity to design, build and install custom cabinetry for clients all over northern Utah. He was a master craftsman. He served in the bishopric of the Smithfield 19th ward, and particularly enjoyed his time spent at girls’ camp. His service in the bishopric and as the ward mission leader allowed him to touch the lives of many. Bob worked in the baptistry ofthe Logan temple until the time of his injury. He had a firm testimony of the Savior and followed His example by serving his fellow man. Life changed for Bob on November 19, 2011 when he was thrown from his ATV while plowing snow. Many thanks go out to all those who supported his fundraiser in December 2011 and served him and his family for the following 2 1/2 years. Bob is survived by his loving wife Joy, son Ryan (Cindy), daughters Kami (Marcelo) Antriyao, and Katie (Mike) Donaldson, and six grandchildren; his father and stepmother Sharon; brothers-in-law Jeff (Susan) Gyllenskog and Max (Eva) Gyllenskog; sisters-in-law Pat Gyllenskog and Jane Gyllenskog; sisters Lori (Scott) Johnstun and Carie (Aram) Arslanian; many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, mother and father-in-law Laurel and Duke Gyllenskog and brother-in-law Dan Gyllenskog. Services will be held Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the 19th Ward building located at 640 North 200 East, Smithfield. A viewing will be held at the same address on Tuesday July 1 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 am. Burial will be in the Smithfield cemetery.
