It is with a sad heart that we tell you of the passing of our Father, Brother, and friend, to us known as Dad, Bob, and to his friends “Pickle Bob”.He was born in Ogden Utah to Thelma F. Beeler Pettingill and Floyd J. Pettingill. He grew up in Ogden and Clearfield Utah, Wendover and Ely Nevada, and Alexandria Virginia. He also lived in Eden Utah, Lava Hot Springs, Jackson Hole Wyoming, and for the last many years he lived in Shelley Idaho.He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in Ogden and spent time as an Army Reservist.He retired from Rocky Mountain Power and found much joy in his Cars and Boats. He loved racing on the Snake River with his friends. He also found a new passion, pickling eggs and asparagus and many other things, thus the nickname “Pickle Bob”. He was gaining a new love for all things Native American. He loved hunting and running sleds while he was in Jackson. As a young kid, he always loved cowboys and horses!!He is survived by his Daughters Tara and Kami. He is also survived by his brothers Mike, Dave, and Neil. He has left behind many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and oh so many friends. He was preceded in death by his Daughter Beth and his Son Robert Justin.Our Family would like to thank everyone involved for being our eyes and ears during the past month in Idaho Falls. We will love you forever for your love and compassion.To our dearest Dad / Bob, you will always be loved and never be forgotten!!Plans are being made to honor him with a memorial during the boating Regatta in Burley Idaho in late June.As per his wishes, there will be no service.
