Ronald Milan Jenson, age 77 threw his final cast on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at his home in Millville, Utah, ending a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 7, 1946, in Logan, Utah, Ronald was the first child of Milan and Thelma Jenson. He grew up in Millville, Utah. At a young age, he was taught the value of hard work and carried that work ethic throughout his life.
Ronald attended Millville Elementary, Providence Junior High, South Cache High School and was part of the first graduating class of Sky View High School. Later in life he continued his education at Davis Technical College and became a Journeyman Carpenter.
After graduating, Ronald served his country as an Army Corporal in the Vietnam War as a Heavy Duty Machine Mechanic. He served from January 1966 to December 1968.
After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned home and met the love of his life, Robyn Olson. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on November 14, 1974 and have been married just short of 50 years. Together they were blessed with four children.
Ronald had many jobs throughout his life and excelled in sheetrocking, custodial work, carpentry, and customer service.
Ronald’s hobbies and interests included fishing, serving in the temple, working in his woodshop, garden, and spending time with his family. He especially loved supporting his grandchildren in their many endeavors.
He is survived by his eternal companion Robyn (Olson) Jenson, children Heather (Mark) Rowley of Papillion, NE; Brady (Mindee) Jenson of Millville, UT; Casey (Kim) Jenson of Nibley, UT; Hollie (Eric) Crockett of North Logan, UT; his 22 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, siblings Irene (Ray) Jorgensen of Millville, UT; Lynn (deceased) (Gloria) Jenson of Millville, UT; Loran (Tammi) Jenson of Millville, UT. He is preceded in death by his parents Milan and Thelma Jenson; brother Lynn Jenson; cousin Verner Lewis; in-laws Ralph and Verla Olson and other loved ones.
There will be a viewing held in his honor on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Millville Church House located at 110 S Main Street. There will also be a viewing preceding the funeral service on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the same location. The funeral service will then be held at 12:00 p.m. Following the funeral service, his interment with Military Honors will be held at the Millville City Cemetery.
