Ruth S. Anderson

Logan - Ruth S. Anderson, 92, passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2015 at Terrace Grove Assisted Living. She was born in Payson Utah, September 24th 1922 to Willard P and Elizabeth Worlton Stephensen. She was the fourth child of ten (four girls and six boys). She received her early schooling in Spanish Fork Utah and moved to Sandy with her family during her senior year of high school When she was sixteen years old. She graduated from Jordan High School. Ruth fulfilled a mission to the North Central States, which, at that time, included Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where she met her future husband David. They wed on August 25th, 1948 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Sandy, UT close to Ruth's parents. Ruth led a busy life. She worked many years for Streator Chevrolet. She also fulfilled many church callings in the MIA and Relief Society. When David and Ruth retired they moved to Richmond, Utah where they spent many happy years and made many friends. Ruth was proceeded in death by her husband David. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn (Delbert) Burlington, WA; her daughter, Christine Anderson (Richmond, UT); grandsons Samuel Dufner (Suzanne)- Monouth OR and Brooks Dufner (Shanna) - Clarkston UT; four beautiful granddaughters - Katherine, Hailey, Brittney and Madison and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 6th - 11:00 AM at the Richmond Cemetery, 350 N. 200 E, Richmond Utah. The family would like to thank the staff of Terrace Grove, Sunshine Hospice and all of her wonderful friends in Richmond for their help and support. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Recreation Therapy program at Terrace Grove.
