Together again. Seth Hill Coburn, 90, was born April 28, 1925 and passed away peacefully at Logan Regional Medical Center following a short illness on February 3, 2016. He was the sixth of nine siblings born in Smithfield, Utah to Fred and Celia Coburn, survived by his brother Melvin and sister Collen. Survived by his three sons DeMille Coburn Oxford, Id; Chris (Darla) Coburn Lewiston, Utah; Chad Coburn Pocastello, Id; Seth had seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Seth was called on an LDS mission to the Eastern Central States and shortly after he returned was drafted into the U.S. Army for two more years of service in the Korean War. Arriving home he started chasing the love of his life and on August 12, 1960 he married Delores Thompson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and all eternity. For the first six years of marriage Seth was a bus mechanic/driver. In 1966 Seth and his family moved to Oxford Id where he purchased the family farm, which had been in his family since 1939. During his farming career he was a watermaster for several years, later in his career he also worked at many locations for the Amalgated Sugar Company during the winter seasons. Farming up until the day of his retirement at which point he and mom enjoyed their retirement together. Delores preceded him in death in March of 2014, leaving him heartbroken. Shortly after Seth continued to live in the Downey home with his son DeMille, and later moved to Lewiston, Utah with his son Chris. Seth will be missed by family and friends but never forgotten. The funeral service for Seth will be Saturday February 6th at 11:00 AM at the Lewiston 1st Ward LDS Church, 10 W 1600 N, with a viewing Friday February 5th 6:00-8:00 PM at the Lewiston 1st Ward Chapel by “Hall’s Store” and a second viewing before the funeral service on Saturday 9:00-10:30 AM.
