Leon passed away at the age of 67 on February 28th, 2022 in Logan, Utah.
He was born June 1st, 1954 in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donna Chapman and Sterling Purser.
He was the 2nd of 9 children: Clara, Faye, (Paul) Albert, (Chris) Abbie, Jerrie, (Carl) Terry, (Leanne) Earl, (Ronda) and Vilate (Mark).
Leon was raised in Murray, Utah and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon arriving home, he married Julia Hill and moved to Idaho where they started their family of five children.
Leon loved his family, he also love fishing, hunting, and camping with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Leon spent the majority of his career working as an outside salesmen for Anderson Lumber and Franklin Building Supply.
Leon is survived by his wife, Julia, five children, John, Amos, Sam,(Becky) Rose, and Crystal, seven grandchildren, and one great grand daughter. Leon was preceded in death by his sister, Clara, and his parents, Donna and Sterling Purser.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, located at 125 W 600 N Logan, Utah.
A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral at 10:30 am.
