Susan Rebecca Huppi Godfrey

May 25, 1955 — August 4, 2022

Susan Rebecca Huppi Godfrey was born May 25, 1955, in Logan, Utah, to Ernst and Hulda Huppi. Susan was raised in Logan, Utah with her four siblings, Rosie, Ray, Ron and Karren. She was the youngest and loved to be adored by her older siblings. Whether it was car rides, being taught college calculus at 6 by her older brother Ronny, spending a summer with the family in the Tetons working with her dad’s business, and playing pranks on siblings and friends alike. She was very musically gifted from a young age, playing the drums, piano, guitar, and clarinet. She played drums in Logan High’s marching band.
At a young age she picked up the art of flower arranging, learning at her mother’s side, a talent she carried through her whole life and blessed so many others with. She used this gift as recent as a few weeks ago, helping to prepare flowers for her brother-in-laws funeral. This passion for flower arranging was passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Susan met her future husband while dragging Main Street in Logan. They were married August 10, 1973, and later sealed January 26, 1980, in the Logan, UT temple. They made Clarkston, Utah their home where they were blessed with raising six children, Leigh Ann, Danny, Susie, Debbie, Donny and Duston. By age 22, they were raising their first four children. Over the next two decades they were blessed with their last two children.
As their children grew, there were endless outdoor adventures, including the Tetons, Yellowstone, Logan Canyon, Lagoon, and Bear Lake. She initiated many of these adventures with her sisters-in-law Tena and Grace. These adventures continued with her 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren including actively participating in her grandchildren’s activities, cooking hot dogs and smores at a campfire, picking huckleberries in Emigration Canyon, a week trip to Yellowstone, and checking off her bucket list item of going to Disneyland.
This life’s adventure ended peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on August 4, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernst and Hulda, siblings Rosie, Karren, Ray and sister-in-law Linda. She is survived by her husband Glen Lee Godfrey, her children Leigh Ann (Tony) Teeples, Danny (Kirsten) Godfrey, Susie (Justin) Summers, Debbie (Cory) Palmer, Donny (Heather) Godfrey, Duston (Brinnley) Godfrey, grandchildren Tysen (Tori) Nickle, Tianna Nickle, Talon (Hannah) Teeples, Tanner (Celeste) Teeples, Tristen Teeples, Kate Godfrey, Jana Godfrey, Gavin Godfrey, Rhett Summers, Sariah Summers, Savannah Summers, Rylen Summers, Tasha Palmer, and a granddaughter on the way, and great grandchildren, Mia Teeples, Marlee Teeples, Jaysen Warby, and Kayleigh Warby. She is also survived by her brother Ron Huppi and brother-in-law Ron Barozzi. Viewings will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM and Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 10:30 AM till 11:30 AM. The funeral will begin at 12:00 Noon.
