Terilynn Roskelley, 40, of Logan, Utah passed away in a tragic fire on Saturday, February 22, 2025.Terilynn is the daughter of the late Gene and Peggy Roskelley of Smithfield. She was born April 7, 1984, in Logan, Utah and spent most of her life in Cache Valley.Terilynn had an amazing work ethic. She found much joy in serving the elderly as a CNA and genuinely connected to her patients. She had the natural ability to befriend others. She spent time working at Thermo Fisher in Logan and was beloved by her team. Terilynn encountered numerous challenges throughout her life, including surviving the car accident that took her mother's life, enduring the loss of additional loved ones, placing a child (Trey) for adoption, and navigating dysfunctional relationships. These experiences contributed to a lifelong struggle with addiction. Despite these hardships, she frequently prioritized caring for others over seeking help for herself.Terilynn excelled in swimming during her time at Sky View High School, earning a letter for her achievements. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in nature. Her artistic talents shone through with the memorable keepsakes she created for her family and friends. Terilynn was known for her generosity and was always seeking opportunities to serve others. She had a special love for animals and took immense pleasure in gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gene Richard Roskelley, Peggy Rentfro Roskelley, and sister Angie Roskelley. Survivors include her children Hayden Jose Martinez and Celestial Lynn Martinez, grandson Laredo Armani Flores, siblings and spouses, Richard and Pamela Roskelley, Juan and Colette Navarro, Nate and Rebecca Roskelley, Aaron and Nicole Eversull, Shane and Julia Roskelley, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Logan Fire Department, First Responders, Police, Medical Examiners, The American Red Cross, Cache Valley Victim Advocates, the Cache Valley Mortuary, Smithfield 11th Ward, including the compassionate service committee, and the countless friends, family, and community members. A special thank you goes out to all who have contributed directly to the America First Credit Union memorial fund or provided financial support in various other ways.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 7th at 12:00 noon at the Smithfield 11th Ward chapel, located at 79 East 200 South. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during calling hours from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Smithfield City cemetery.
