Terry "Charlie" Metzger

Terry “Charlie” Metzger passed away at Sunshine Terrace on May 8, 2024. He was originally from the hills near Altuna, Pennsylvania. His most recent residence was in Cache Junction.

Charlie was a man of God with a kind heart. Two of his favorite scriptures were

Psalm 23 -
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

and 1 John 2:15-17.
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

He enjoyed serving others. His gift was as an arborist and his joy was providing tree work and lawn care for a friend battling cancer.

He loved his little dog Kahlua, fishing, chess, horse shoes, old westerns and spending time with his close friends. He will be missed and mourned by those who love him.
