Victor Tony Cowley

February 21, 1958 — May 21, 2024

After a two year battle following complications from a stroke and heart failure, our sweet 'Vic" passed peacefully into his Heavenly Home on May 21, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.
Victor Tony Cowley was the second child born to Tony and Julianne Cowley on Feb 21, 1958 in Richfield UT. To everyone's surprise, Vic came into this world with a heart defect and was severely dehydrated. At the time of his birth the odds were not in his favor, but true to Vic's strong spirit and tenacity to survive, he beat the odds and grew to be a vivacious fun loving young man.
Eventually the Cowley family moved to Saint George where they expanded their brood, and Vic was excited to welcome three more siblings into the household. Vic absolutely loved being an older brother, and thrived in Saint George where he formed life long friendships and memories.
With a love for all types of sports, Vic could often be found in the Dixie High School gym playing basketball. All though short in stature, his heart, might, mind and passion for sports allowed him to excel and surpass everyone's expectations.
While in High School Vic met his first wife Nancy Foote. They courted for a while, but with a heartfelt desire, Vic put his love life on hold in order to serve a greater love for his Savior by serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
After a successful two year mission in Sacramento California, Vic returned home where six weeks later he married his high school sweetheart. Together they had seven children. Though they later divorced, they remained lifelong friends.
In 2007, Vic met the love of his life Dena (Diana) Larsen. Vic's circle of family and love increased tenfold, when the couple was sealed in the Logan Temple on May 12, 2012.
Vic was such a happy person, and loved to share dad jokes. It brought him joy to share the gospel, and he always did his best to leave the world a brighter place and to put a smile on someone's face. He never met someone that he didn't like, and he always strived to lift others' burdens. Vic was a faithful member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved the Lord, and his Redeemer, and even throughout his illness it meant the world to him to be able to attend church.
Vic is survived by his wife Dena Cowley, his children Corina (Keith) Arnell, Tiffany (Rod) Ginocchio, Loni (Ben) Cobb, Jason (Bre) Cowley, Trevor (Nicole) Cowley, Bryce Cowley, Landon Cowley, Braden Cowley. His step children; Christopher Hatch, Ashley (Adam) Denton, Haley (Paul) Cox, Mackenzie (Joseph) Woolf, and Collin Hatch. His mother, Julieanne Ogden Cowley, as well as his siblings Sidney (Jamie) Cowley, Jolee (Brad) Edwards, and twenty eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Tony Cowley, his siblings Deborah Zockoll, and Karen Abbott. and nephews Casey Abbot, Kasey Cowley and Derek Cowley
We will miss our beloved husband, father, grandfather and son. He came into this life fighting and left it the same way. His life wasn't easy, but his life was worth living, and we are all better for knowing Vic and having him in our lives. We love you Vic, and look forward to the day that we will be once again reunited.
God be with you till we meet again.

A special heartfelt thank you to the CNS Hospice Care, and staff.
