Vonda Kay Buttars Tillotson

July 16, 1950 — December 31, 2022

Vonda Kay Buttars Tillotson – 72 - TRENTON passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 31, 2022 after a valiant &brave struggle with an array of health problems.

Mom was born on July 16, 1950, to Vaughan and Doris Buttars in Trenton where she has lived her whole life. She was the 3rd of 5 children. Vonda met the love of her life John Tillotson and was married and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan temple. They welcomed and raised 4 wonderful children: Christie, Shane, Gloria & Ryan. She was a mom to many others as well.
Mom was an amazing mother, grandmother, friend, & neighbor. She would do anything for anyone. She was the most caring person, often times putting others needs before her own or helping others when her own health was not the best. Mom had a laugh like no other and you couldn’t help but laugh when you heard her!
Mom took great pride in her yard and worked hard to keep it looking green all summer. She did this with the help of many crews of kids and grandkids over the years. Mom loved baking with the grandkids and the bigger the mess the better it would be! Mom and Dad loved going on trips with family.
Mom says she was not a very patient person, but she was a lot more patient than she ever gave herself credit for. She helped her family every time and anytime they needed it, from watching grandkids, going to as many events as she could, to picking them up from school sick and getting them a McDonalds coke on the way home. Coke fixed everything in her eyes! Mom took great pride in taking care of dad throughout all his health issues.
Mom touched the lives of many people working at Pepperidge Farm for years and then later working as a Sweeper at Lewiston Elementary. She loved working at the school and seeing those kids. They loved her so much. She LOVED being around kids and they LOVED being around her!
Vonda is survived by her husband, John, Children: Christie (Bob) Williams, Shane (Kristin), Gloria (Jeremy) Hunt, Ryan (Tracee). 28 Grandkids and 21 Great Grand Children. Siblings: Laura Burkman, Bev (Leo) Daley, Loren (Zurella) Buttars, Peggy (Mike) Dorigatti, LuDean (Hans) Parkin, Lesa Allison, and many nieces and nephews.
