A special church calling that JoAnn loved and faithfully fulfilled was that of being scribe for the stake patriarch for twenty-seven years. She also served for twelve years in the Baptistry at the Logan LDS temple.
After living in Iowa City, Iowa for twenty-six years, Winston retired and the family moved back to Utah and built their retirement home in North Logan.
JoAnn and Winston enjoyed touring with the Mormon Battalion organization and the Antique Car Club. She also enjoyed making porcelain dolls, baking and sewing, but her greatest hobby was that of being a stay at home mother surrounded by a loving family.
